What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping /Receiving Clerk position at Aviatron?
Overview of the Position:
Learn and understand the operation of shipping computer software (Quantum). Responsible for all parts of shipping process-involving packing, labeling, weighing, and expediting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Learn and understand the operation of shipping computer software.
- Pack parts for shipping, tape boxes shut, and weigh packages.
- Use power hand tools to close boxes.
- Create shipping labels and packing slips.
- File invoices, purchase orders and packing slips.
Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Must read and write the English language.
- Should have basic computer software and keyboarding skills.
Education / Experience Requirements:
- Must have H.S. Diploma or GED

- Move boxes ranging from 1 cubic foot to 4'x2'x2'
- Move (using a hand truck or fork lift) boxes up to several 100lbs.
