Avid is hiring a Revenue Cycle Specialist. This position will be hybrid-remote, but must be based out of Raleigh, Charlotte, or Wilmington, NC or Chicago, IL.
The role of the Revenue Cycle Specialist (RCS) will be responsible for all subsidiary accounts receivable. The RCS is responsible for the timely collection, claim management & resolving claims denials & appeals of all billed services for Private Pay, LTC Insurance, Electronic Billing (re-billing of denials), Government Billing & any future contracts for new client/service types. Updating & providing Weekly AR Aging Reports to upper management. Coordinating AR updates with Branch/Office operations, billing team & clients/payors. Managing Weekly AR Calls with operations & billing team. Main point of contact to all payor portals.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Manage comprehensive Accounts Receivable/Collection, from invoice generation and account reconciliation to payment processing.
- Manage/provide internal teams & Senior Management detailed updates on weekly AR Aging reports.
- Run weekly Accounts Receivable internal calls.
- Call on all past due collections.
- Claim Management- Resolve claims for denials & appeals and re-bill all/any electronic denials to collect owed funds.
- Access and track access to all payor/client portals.
- Maintain strict compliance with all state and federal billing regulations.

Requirements:Education: College degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
Work Experience:
- Ability to use computerized systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Intermediate Excel.
- Analytical – Problem solving skills.
- Medical Billing & Collection experience a plus.
- Client Portal access & use.
- AlayaCare experience a plus.
- Compliance ensuring regulations & standards are met.
Travel: Travel is required for business purposes. The employee must have a valid driver’s license issued by the state in which they work, valid insurance, and a satisfactory driving record.
