Duties:
As a Personal Care Assistant, you will:
- Provide day-to-day Activities of Daily Living (ADL) and Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADL) support to clients within their homes based on physician's treatment plans and client care plans.
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, transfers, ambulation, and therapy exercises.
- Support clients with household tasks related to their health, including meal planning and preparation, light housekeeping, laundry, errands, and appointments.
- Offer companionship and stimulation to clients through activities like reading, walks, and accompanying them to appointments.
- Ensure client safety by following Universal Precautions, maintaining a clean environment, and observing changes in the client's condition.
Qualifications:
- Certification as a Personal Care Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant.
- CPR Certification preferred but not required.
- Customer service-oriented with strong communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and follow care plans effectively.
- Willingness to embrace technology for documentation purposes.
- Capacity to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
