Key Responsibilities
Technology Leadership & Engineering Execution
- Own the end-to-end technology roadmap across AMG’s platforms, ensuring scalable, high-quality product delivery.
- Lead engineering strategy, architecture, and execution for all of AMG’s ORA, Innovation Hub and Utopia products.
- Establish best practices for software development lifecycle (SDLC), release management, DevOps, and regression testing.
- Address key technology risks, inclusive of concerns such as technology modernization, critical build vs. buy decisions, and risks affecting personnel.
- Provide strong coaching and mentorship to AMG’s existing product managers, elevating their strategic impact beyond tactical execution.
- Define and implement a structured intake and prioritization process, replacing the current ad-hoc model with a more disciplined roadmap and backlog management.
- Introduce structured epics and themes to roadmap planning, improving alignment with AMG’s long-term business goals.
- Drive AI & automation initiatives, particularly around offer modeling, campaign generation, and customer insights.
- Lead the transition of Technology & Product out of Operations, creating a clear, accountable leadership structure.
- Partner with Client Services, Analytics, and Operations to improve integration between Workfront, Salesforce, and AMG’s proprietary platforms.
- Clarify decision-making responsibilities across Product, Technology, and Business functions.
- Support talent acquisition efforts, particularly for engineering and product roles.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Product Management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 10 years of experience in technology leadership, product engineering, or a similar role, with a strong track record of scaling technology platforms (preferably in a B2B or SaaS-like environment).
- Strong architecture and engineering leadership with experience in modernizing legacy platforms (e.g., PHP to more scalable frameworks).
- Deep understanding of DevOps, automated testing, and release management best practices.
- Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and security best practices.
- Experience leading cross-functional product teams, with an ability to mentor and develop product managers.
- Strong understanding of Agile, backlog grooming, and structured roadmap planning.
- Exposure to AI-driven product enhancements is a plus.
- Experience separating Product & Technology functions from Operations, helping an organization mature.
- Ability to balance hands-on execution with strategic vision, ensuring both immediate and long-term success.
- Strong communication skills, with an ability to engage and influence stakeholders across business and technical teams.
- Proven experience in scaling technology platforms (preferably in a B2B or SaaS-like environment).
- Strong architecture and engineering leadership with experience in modernizing legacy platforms (e.g., PHP to more scalable frameworks).
