We are hiring Group Supervisors for our Camp Blue Sky (Grades 1-5) program based in Evergreen, CO.
In this role you will
- Partner closely with Assistant Director of Staff & Campers to ensure a quality experience for both staff and campers by addressing concerns, providing on ground support, and jumping in wherever needed.
- Provide coaching and development for staff including staff observations, staff development workshops, and mentorship conversations.
- Provide first line support to help resolve camper behavioral concern and ensure a high quality camper experience is being maintained.
- Provide instructors time off by covering for their groups and serve as first line support to help resolve staffing concerns.
- Support a variety of camp initiatives such as camp betterment projects and facilitating evening events in support of the Camp Program Specialists
- Transport up to 13 campers to and from program areas with company passenger vans.
- Must be at least 20 years of age by the start of camp for this position with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- 1 years of experience working at a resident camp and previous experience supervising staff
- Experience in one of our core sports is preferred, but not required
- Minimum of Basic First Aid & CPR certification by the start of camp (and we can point you in the right direction to get this done) A Wilderness First Aid (or WFR/EMT) certification is preferred for our Camp Windy Peak Group Supervisors.
- Work Schedule: Overnight camps are a 24/7 operation. The leadership team will create a schedule that provides you with time off throughout each session. This will typically include an extended daily break, 24 hours off per session, and the weekend, (Friday evening to Sunday morning), between each session.
- Position Duration: Training begins May 17; day camp programs run from June 1 through August 2.
- Compensation: Pay is determined based on position, additional responsibilities, relevant certifications, and staff tenure. Starting hourly are below:
- Supervisors: $488.75/week
- Relevant Certification Bonuses: $100 - $400 per certification (up to $1,000)
