Job Summary:
The Credit Analyst is responsible for managing, spreading and maintaining financial background information on present and prospective customers, and assists with underwriting analysis for the Relationship Managers. Position includes managing spread assignments, making financial analyses, and maintaining related records and files.
Essential Functions and Basic Duties:
· Monitor financial performance and covenant compliance for CRE portfolio.
· Analyzing financial statements and credit profiles of CRE investors / properties.
· Support deal team in business/industry/financial due diligence and develop detailed financial models.
· Prepare credit memoranda for Avidbank’s credit committee.
· Support Senior Bankers in deal screening and transaction diligence.
Qualifications and Skills:
· Undergraduate degree demonstrating strong academic performance.
· Strong attention to detail and intellectual curiosity.
· Strong understanding of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
· Ability to take ownership of simultaneous assignments and produce results in time-sensitive circumstances.
· Ability to work collaboratively with members of the deal team and with third party constituencies.
· Ability to analyze data to support and improve business decisions.
Experience Required:
· Degree with emphasis on finance, accounting, economics, mathematics, or technical field.
· Interest or experience in commercial real estate finance, development, investing.
Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
· Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
