As we grow, we are looking for a highly skilled Billing Lead to join our team and drive efficiency and improvements in our billing operations. This role is available in either our Cary, North Carolina or Lake Forest, California location.

Position Summary

The Billing Lead will be responsible for leading technical processes within the billing department, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing, and maintaining strong relationships with clients and internal teams. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent leadership skills and a deep understanding of billing processes and systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5 years in billing or accounting, with demonstrated career growth (Construction Billing experience preferred).
• Strong knowledge of billing systems, processes, and software. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Exceptional attention to detail, analytical mindset, and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong ability to lead, collaborate, and drive process improvements.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with internal teams and clients effectively.
  
  

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily billing operations, including invoicing, payment processing, and account reconciliation.
• Ensure all billing transactions are accurate and compliant.
• Develop and implement billing policies and procedures to enhance efficiency.
• Maintain compliance with JSOX controls for the billing department.
• Analyze billing data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Partner with internal teams to resolve billing discrepancies.
• Prepare and present billing reports and performance metrics to senior management.
• Manage the accounts receiveable and cash process calendar to ensure smooth financial operations.
• Stay current on industry best practices and billing regulations.
