Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Audiovisual (AV) Technician - III to join our team. This role requires extensive knowledge of AV/IT system installations and construction trades, with a strong focus on leadership, safety, and quality assurance. The ideal candidate will ensure the crew performs tasks efficiently and in alignment with project plans, working independently with minimal supervision.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 4 years of experience leading AV/IT system installations.
- Valid Washington State EL06 Limited Energy license or equivalent as required by state law.
- AVIXA CTS-I certification or completion of a State Certified Apprenticeship program within two years of hire.
- Powder actuated tool certification.
- Advanced proficiency with AV/IT tools and construction equipment (scaffolding, lifts, etc.).
- Proficiency with Windows, MS Office, and basic computer skills.
- Proven experience installing AV equipment, including speaker systems, flat panels, projectors, and screens.
- Ability to lead and coordinate field installation crews effectively.
- Flexibility for projects requiring overnight travel or variable work hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, kneel, and work in varying environmental conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and prioritize tasks for field installation crews.
- Ensure crew morale, safety, and adherence to safety practices.
- Provide on-the-job training in mechanical installation, cable management, termination techniques, and equipment setup.
- Mentor and train new hires and trainee installation staff.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between the crew and the project team.
- Monitor project scope, schedule, and costs, reporting changes to the Foreman or Project Manager.
- Perform and oversee equipment installation, wiring, and system testing.
- Maintain and update project documentation and record set drawings.
- Attend construction and safety meetings as needed.
- Ensure a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Protect equipment, materials, and interior finishes from damage during installations.
- Meet company performance standards and quality benchmarks.
Work Environment:
- Work sites vary from executive boardrooms to construction sites.
- Exposure to power tools, electricity, heights, and construction hazards.
- Appropriate attire and adherence to safety protocols are required.
