Position Summary:

The Electrical Estimator Project Manager combines expertise in the construction industry with a focus on audiovisual (AV), IT, and electrical systems, and strong project management skills. This role is responsible for overseeing the entire project lifecycle, from needs assessment and bid development to client engagement and project execution. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate estimating, timely project delivery, and seamless execution from start to finish.

Requirements:

• Associate degree or higher, preferably in Business Administration or Project Management.
• 5 years of experience in the AV, IT, and electrical industry, with a strong knowledge of manufacturer products, facility design principles, and industry standards and codes.
• Intermediate experience with structured cabling and AV/IT systems is preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of the International Building Code (IBC) and National Electric Code (NEC).
• Active California Journeyman’s Card required.
• Proficiency in Windows and Apple software with intermediate computer skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• At least 5 years of experience interpreting and creating written, oral, diagram, or schedule-based instructions.
• Strong planning, organizational, and implementation skills for successful project execution.
• PMP certification from PMI preferred within two years.
• AVIXA CTS certification preferred within one year.
• Self-motivated, with excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible work hours, including potential weekend commitments based on project requirements.
• Adherence to safety protocols when working with power tools, electricity, heights, and other construction hazards.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct needs assessments and develop accurate bids, proposals, and presentations for clients.
• Review and interpret bid documents, creating comprehensive responses covering scope, costs, schedules, and risks.
• Define and manage project scope, schedule, costs, and risks to ensure seamless execution from design to project closure.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for client communications, including scheduling, coordination, and updates.
• Coordinate communication between clients, internal installation/technical teams, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Assist in designing systems, including facility plans, AV/IT & electrical plans, elevations, functional diagrams, submittals, and equipment schedules.
• Oversee team activities, ensuring alignment with project goals and high-quality results.
• Apply problem-solving skills to address project issues and make timely decisions to keep projects on track.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the successful completion of projects and the organization’s objectives.
