The Opportunity
We seek a highly motivated and independent Associate Scientist to join our Precision Cardiology team and contribute to developing our cardiac therapeutics pipeline. The position requires daily lab work, data analysis, interpretation, and presentation for key stakeholders and cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will be proficient in cellular and molecular biological techniques, organized and independent, a strong team player, and have great verbal and written communication skills.
What You Will Contribute
- Design and perform experiments, analyze data, and interpret and report results
- Develop and optimize biochemical, molecular, and/or cellular biology methods as needed
- Collaborate and communicate with other team members and across departments
- Keep detailed and accurate records; present data in verbal as well as written form
- Work with supervisor to prioritize work
- Provide training to new laboratory staff
- Perform other duties as required
What We Seek
- B.S. in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biology, or related disciplines, with 6 years of laboratory experience; or MS with 4 years of experience.
- Proficiency in aseptic cell culture technique for primary and immortalized cell lines, nucleic acid extraction and purification, RT-qPCR or digital PCR, transfection
- Proficiency in immunofluorescence/immunohistochemistry and immunoblotting techniques.
- Experience with iPSC cell culture and differentiation is desired.
- Experience with single-cell RNAseq, RNAscope, cloning, stable/transient cell line generation, and protein isolation is a plus.
- Working familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and GraphPad Prism
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with little to no supervision, work well in teams, and adapt in a fast-changing environment with diverse coworkers.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- High attention to detail in research, reliable, organized, excellent record-keeping
- Effective data presentation and verbal communication skills, as well as clear written communication
- Integrity, enthusiasm, willingness to learn, and strong interpersonal skills are expected.
What We Will Provide to You
- The base salary range for this role is $91,000 - $110,250 The final compensation will be commensurate with such factors as relevant experience, skillset, internal equity and market factors.
