The Opportunity
The Staff Accountant is an important part of the accounting team and will support a diverse range of subjects across multiple business process cycles. The ideal candidate possesses a positive attitude, is self-motivated, and eager to learn new things while having an impact across a broad scope of areas at the Company. Further, the ideal candidate will have a focus on optimizing processes to be more scalable and efficient in preparation for future growth and globalization of the Company.
What You Will Contribute
- Prepares recurring journal entries, reconciliations, and accounting analysis applicable to the group
- Learns and maintains standard practices of the department
- Develops and maintains process documentation
- Integrate with other functions to the extent needed to optimize key process and ensure scalable growth
- Has a customer service mindset when working with other groups
- Intellectually curious and drive to understand the “why” behind each process and procedures
- Ability to think outside the box and develop new processes and process improvements
- A relentless approach to learning with the ability to make connections among previously unrelated notions and come up with a lot of new and unique ideas
- Ability to develop a strong understanding of the holistic Avidity business and processes to help build and prepare for long-term success
- Typically works autonomously with little instruction on day-to-day work

What We Seek
- 2 Years of experience in either an Auditing role or Corporate Accounting
- Basic knowledge of US GAAP
- Basic Excel/MS Office & ERP skills
- Basic workpaper and documentation skills
- Good organizational skills
Preferred Background
- Big 4 or other Large National Audit Firm experience
- Corporate Accounting experience
- Experience with D365 or other large ERP systems
- Licensed CPA or in progress with the CPA Exam
What We Will Provide to You
- The base salary range for this role is $75,000 - $85,000. The final compensation will be commensurate with such factors as relevant experience, skillset, internal equity and market factors.
