Electrical Technician (Agriculture/Irrigation)
Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems for Agricultural and related industries.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.
- Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment, appliances, and handtools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problems.
- Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
- Test electrical systems and contiuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system.
- Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes.
- Read blueprints using proficient writing, reading, and general math skills.
- Assist in projecting needs for equipment, materials and supplies. Advise management/customers on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and/or Experience:
- High School degree
- Electrician certification or 3 years of experience
- Good background/understanding of agriculture and/or crops is preferred.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
