Field Service Technician (Agriculture/Irrigation)
A Field Service Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems on irrigation and automation systems. The role involves working in the field at various job sites, troubleshooting electrical issues, ensuring compliance with electrical codes, and following safety regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Install, repair, and maintain electrical wiring on irrigation and automation systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and wiring diagrams.
- Diagnoses, inspects, and repairs any system components or equipment as needed.
- Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
- Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and make necessary repairs or replacements.
- Maintains accurate time logs and site-specific notes for all services performed.
- Experience in using heavy equipment (eg. Excavators and Backhoes).
- Assist the precision irrigation team when needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and/or Experience:
- High School degree
- Experience with irrigation system installation and repairs is required.
- Good background/understanding of agriculture and/or crops is preferred.

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
