About the Job
We are seeking a skilled Production Operator to join our team at Avient Corporation. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient production of high-quality chemicals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up, start, and run all machinery safely and efficiently
- Weigh ingredients to meet recipe specifications and insert them into machinery or deliver pre-blended materials to the work area
- Monitor production and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation, troubleshooting any issues that arise
- Operate machinery to mix, extrude/discharge or handle materials, taking samples as required for evaluation and batch adjustments
- Clean machinery thoroughly after use and document work completed according to procedures
Requirements:
- High School diploma, General Education Diploma (GED) or equivalent training & experience
- Work experience in an industrial operations environment preferred
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
- Must have mathematical skills to perform calculations and conversions
