Avila Market is interviewing now seeking to fill multiple positions on our Deli & Grocery Team! Summer in Avila is crazy and we need you!

We have need of Full Time, Part Time, and Seasonal teammates.

Potential Candidates would be expected to commit to working a consistent 20-40 hour work-week from Memorial Day to Labor Day. (No summer vacations. We work when other folks play), but we are certain your summer will be memorable!

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve deli products, including sandwiches, salads, soups, meats, cheeses, and other prepared foods, in accordance with food safety standards.
• Prepare and serve Acai Bowls and Fresh Fruit Smoothies in accordance with food safety standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the entire operation, ensuring compliance with health regulations.
• Assist customers with their selections, providing recommendations and answering any questions regarding products.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately for transactions.
• Manage inventory levels by monitoring stock and assisting with restocking.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operation of the deli & grocery departments.
• Have an infectiously fun time at work.

Experience

• Previous experience in the food industry or grocery store setting is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with food safety practices and culinary techniques is a plus.
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment.
• Basic math skills for handling transactions and inventory management.
• A passion for hospitality, the desire to make every customer remember and enjoy their experience, is essential.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Seasonal

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 18 – 40 per week
