Become part of our team! We are seeking employees to join the golf course maintenance team. You will experience the satisfaction of maintaining a high end and exclusive golf course, with a great working environment.
The Golf Course Equipment Operator performs work involving the use of small & large equipment, including tractors, loaders, trenchers, backhoes, trucks, walking and riding mowers and other maintenance equipment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS – Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individual with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Assist in the maintenance of a prestigious 18-hole golf course, practice facilities and landscaped areas.
- Perform regular daily maintenance set up such as raking of bunkers, mowing of a variety of golf course areas, hand watering of turf areas, cutting cups etc.
- Mow fairways, tees, approaches, greens, and roughs.
- Operate hand tools such as light machinery and mowers.
- Treat all members, guests, and co-workers in a friendly, respectful manner in accordance with the standards of excellence of Avila Golf & CC Club
- Regular attendance and timeliness are required.
COMPETENCIES
- Working knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions of the profession.
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written direction.
- Ability to maintain cooperative working relationships with other employees and the public.
- Knowledge of safe, efficient mechanical operation of tractors and other motorized equipment.
- Enjoy working outside, be dedicated and be eager to learn.
