Avineon is seeking a GIS Analyst to join our geospatial team serving utility, telecom, and government customers on GIS/IT projects.
Avineon's geospatial team delivers professional services in the areas of data modeling, data migration, data posting, data quality control, applications development, consulting, testing, cloud hosting, and integration services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Esri GIS software (e.g., ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Extensions, etc.) with desire to research, learn, and apply other geospatial products/technologies for addressing customer business needs.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for authoring/reviewing technical work products and artifacts such as requirements documents, use cases, and test cases as a part of executing Avineon's development and delivery methodologies.
- Work on multiple projects simultaneously and in a customer facing role.
- Work closely with Avineon's team members to perform technical tasks including data analysis, data modeling, troubleshooting, software installation, configuration, and testing.
- Create documentation.
- Lead training sessions.
Education-Experience and Skills Required
- 1-3 years’ experience
- 4-year college degree or equivalent experience
- Good communication skills – verbal and written
- Ability to work remotely
- Team player
- Ability to work independently
- Analytical thinking skills
- Ability to work on multiple projects at once (multi-tasking)
- Good organizational skills
- Familiarity with the Esri technology stack
- ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Online content management skills
- ArcGIS Enterprise configuration and management skills
- ArcGIS Online configuration and management skills
- ArcGIS Pro experience
- Land records experience (parcel management)
- Emergency management data and workflows experience
- GIS data editing skills
