The Server is a critical member of the hospitality team responsible for delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Job Duties
- Comply with Avion Hospitality standards and regulations at all times to ensure safe and efficient hotel operations.
- Maintain required certifications, including Alcohol Awareness, Food Handlers, and Safety, as applicable to the position.
- Familiarize yourself with the organization of the restaurant and lounge, understanding the roles and responsibilities of each job position.
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of menus and specials in the restaurant to provide accurate recommendations to guests.
- Provide warm, friendly, and professional service to guests, ensuring their food and beverage requirements are met promptly.
- Clear, clean, and reset tables as needed to maintain a clean and organized dining area.
- Develop proficiency in operating the Point of Sale (P.O.S.) system to manage transactions efficiently.
- Perform cashiering functions during closing checks and end-of-shift paperwork, maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Execute opening and closing procedures, side work duties, and station rotation assignments according to supervisor or manager instructions.
- Ensure tables and side stands are consistently stocked, tidy, and clean, meeting high standards of cleanliness and organization.
- Perform other tasks and jobs assigned by the supervisor or manager as necessary.
Requirements
- A High School diploma or equivalent, with experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
- TABC Certification, in compliance with State regulations.
- Food Handlers certification, in compliance with State regulations.
- Strong communication skills, enabling clear and concise conveyance of information and ideas.
- The ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately, even in stressful and high-pressure situations.
