Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Inspector to join our team. The OSP Inspector II will be responsible to ensure that all the client’s underground, buried and aerial plant facilities meet the current standards through inspections, and corrections work performed by contractors. The Inspector will document all inspections, audits, and pole transfers electronically, and be expected to communicate via email, and cellular phone. At times it may be necessary to perform inspections, audits, and transfers manually by the use of printed spreadsheets. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections of various systems and equipment to ensure compliance with safety standards and operational efficiency. The Inspector will play a crucial role in maintaining quality control and ensuring that all installations meet industry standards.
Duties
- Conduct inspections of network infrastructure to ensure adherence to safety regulations.
- Review and interpret schematics to assess the functionality of various components.
- Document inspection findings and prepare detailed reports for management review.
- Collaborate with field service teams to address any identified issues or discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities.
Requirements
- Previous experience performing NESC inspections or experience working on an aerial cable line crew and bore crews.
- Must be proficient in OSP Construction Standards
- Familiarity with the National Electric Safety Code (NESC)
- OSHA30 Certified
- Computer experience:
- Microsoft Windows , Excel, Word or newer and Outlook
- Familiar and comfortable with internet usage, and web page browsing.
- Personal time management and organization skills.
- Construction contractor management skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective reporting and collaboration.
- Ability to work independently in the field while adhering to safety protocols.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and be willing to travel as needed for inspections.
