Avion Solutions Inc., an employee-owned company, seeks candidates for an MDA ( Missile Defense Agency) Quick Reaction Team (QRT) Senior Missile Defense Technical Analyst to support MDA. This position is based in Ft. Belvoir, VA.
Job Responsibilities/Duties:
- Perform technical editing of documents and briefings to ensure clarity and technical accuracy.
- Assist with developing analysis reports and products including defended area maps, probability of engagement success, raid capacity plots, and depth of fire plots.
- Review technical products to ensure technical accuracy and consistency across the Agency.
- Develop graphics using the Satellite Tool Kit (STK) graphics tool.
- Organize and document task databases and retrievable study results.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Experience:
- MA/MS degree with 12 years' experience on missile defense-related or other complex, large DoD program or project or 20 years of similar experience with a BA/BS degree.
- Strong technical writing and editing experience.
- Active Secret clearance.
- Must be a US Citizen and have an Active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
- Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time. US travel only.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Satellite Tool Kit graphics.
- Previous MDA experience.
- Knowledge of MDA systems engineering processes.
- Knowledge of ballistic, cruise, and hypersonic missile defense fundamentals.
- Experience and confidence in interacting with senior technical leadership.
