Avion Solutions Inc., an employee-owned company, seeks candidates for a Qualification Test Engineer/Analyst to support PM STRIKE. This position is based in Huntsville, AL.
Job Responsibilities/Duties:
- Responsible for designing and executing Qualification test plans to validate the functionality and quality of complex Army missile systems.
- Lead and support component, subsystem, and system-level qualification testing; test types may include Environmental, EMI/EMC, Safety, and Human Factors. This includes on-site TDY testing support, training to operate weapon system equipment at the test facility, and performing unit under test functional checks.
- Ensure execution of test schedule by collaborating with test facility staff and daily status reporting to STRIKE leadership.
- Evaluate systems to ensure they meet military standards (MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461 and MIL-STD-464).
- Identify potential weapon system issues and defects by performing tests on the system's features.
- Report findings to ensure the final product meets specifications, working closely with development teams across the product lifecycle.
- This position involves physically climbing on top of military vehicles and weapon systems.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Experience:
- BS or BA degree.
- 10 years of test and evaluation experience.
- 5 years experience in weapon system qualification testing (can be part of the 10 years above).
- Experience with evaluating systems to ensure they meet military standards (MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, and MIL-STD-464).
- Must be a US Citizen and have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
- Must be able to travel up to 40% of the time. US travel only.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Redstone Test Center (RTC) or other lab experience.
