Avion Solutions Inc., an employee-owned company, is seeking candidates for a Counter-Countermeasure and Threat Discrimination Senior Engineer to support the Missile Defense Agency. This position is based in Huntsville, Alabama.
Job Responsibilities/Duties:
- Provide systems analysis expertise to develop new Missile Defense System capabilities to identify lethal objects.
- Work within a multi-discipline, multi-source/industry team.
- Provide technical analysis, management, and general scientific support to MDAs Counter- Countermeasures and Discrimination Directorate.
- Develop and formulate options for improving the Missile Defense System's discrimination and electronic protection capabilities.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Experience:
- Master's Degree in a STEM field with a minimum of 12 years of experience.
- Expertise in radar signal processing, scheduling, and object classification.
- Expertise in electronic protection.
- Prior experience with Systems engineering analysis and process management including development and review of engineering requirements, concepts of operations, and integrated schedules.
- Experience in Technical performance assessments, Risk analysis, and mitigation development.
- Experience with Electronic attack/protection modeling development to support analysis and requirements development.
- Experience in developing technology maturation plans to transfer potential technologies to program offices.
- Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active Top Secret/SCI clearance.
- Knowledge of MDA systems engineering processes.
- Knowledge of Missile Defense fundamentals including radar limitations.
- Knowledge of electro-optic fundamentals.
- Knowledge of radar hardware and design.
