Avion Solutions Inc., an employee-owned company, seeks candidates for a Senior Engineer - Design, Failure, and Mission Assurance to support the Missile Defense Agency. This position is based in Huntsville, AL.
Job Responsibilities/Duties:
- Enable MDA Programs in preparation of Mission Assurance Provisions Requirements Applicability Matrices (MAP RAMs) and in setting thresholds for each requirement in the MAP.
- Support the preparation and review of Technical Review Plans for Engineering Technical Reviews (SRR, PDRs, CDRs, and Agile Reviews).
- Provide support during the planning and conduct of Engineering Technical Reviews
- Support System and Element-Level failure reviews.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Experience:
- Masters degree in a STEM field with at least 12 years of experience.
- Strong understanding of engineering design principles.
- Experience in the flow-down of System-level requirements which influence Element-level designs.
- Experience conducting and managing failure reviews.
- Exceptional communications and organization skills.
- Must be a US Citizen and have/able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
- Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time. US travel only.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of agile engineering design processes.
- Knowledge of digital engineering principals.
- Knowledge of and experience with the Missile Defense System (elements, products, increments, and capabilities).
- Knowledge of the MDA Mission Assurance Provisions.
