Avion Solutions Inc., an employee-owned company, is seeking candidates for a Senior Systems Engineer to support the Fixed Wing Project Office. This position is based in Huntsville, AL.
Job Responsibilities/Duties:
- Implement the system engineering process for the High Accuracy Detection and Exploitation System (HADES) and other emerging/existing programs within the Fixed Wing Project Office (FWPO), Special Electronic Mission Aircraft (SEMA) Product Directorate.
- Provide acquisition support for HADES and other assigned programs, including creating requirements documents and working contract requirement package technical elements.
- Work in conjunction with teammates to create programmatic System Engineering (SE) documentation such as System Engineering Plans (SEP), and coordinate/implement Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) elements.
- Work with program integrators, logisticians, and other engineering disciplines to apply the system engineering process to the respective programs
Required Experience:
- BS in Engineering with at least 8 years of experience in applied Systems Engineering.
- Must have experience creating and executing Systems Engineering documents and processes.
- Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA), and Digital Engineering.
- Must be a US citizen and have an active Security Clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret / Special Compartmental Information (TS/SCI) Clearance.
- Must be able to travel up to 15-20% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to serve as a Primary Systems Engineer standing up a new program and seeing it through from the acquisition lifecycle.
- Possess the ability to transition between modern digital engineering environments and traditional SE practices (40/60 split).
