JOB SUMMARY - ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES
- 5 years’ experience repairing, replacing, troubleshooting, understanding, and inspecting Air Force F-16 aircraft electrical and environmental systems to include, but not limited to, generator, ECS, bleed air, secondary flight control, fire warning, lighting, engine start, anti-ice, anti-skid, and landing gear control and indication
- Thorough understanding of common maintenance practices and tool use/control
- Ability to use test equipment to test or troubleshoot aircraft electrical and environmental systems
- Functional test, troubleshoot, and/or repair electrical and environmental systems
- Diagnose problems and takes corrective action
- Ability to perform in-depth wire repairs on or off aircraft to include soldering, crimping, splicing, protecting, and assembling connectors and wire harnesses
- Complete understanding ability to interpret Air Force Technical Order system, Air Force Instructions, Time Compliance Technical Order, electrical and pneumatic schematic/wire diagrams
- In-depth knowledge of Air Force maintenance documentation procedures to include AFTO Form 781 series forms and Integrated Maintenance Data System
- Thorough knowledge of safety and operating procedures for power-on aircraft.
- Thorough knowledge of flight-line and in-shop ground safety, foreign object prevention, Personal Protective Equipment and HAZMAT processes/procedures
- Thorough knowledge of ground support equipment and aircraft ground equipment use
- Ability to clearly communicate status updates, task needs, and constraints to team leaders
- Ability to implement and follow time management techniques to properly complete tasks
- Ability to track and remain current on all training requirements
- Ability to train team member on F-16 electrical and environmental tasks
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

Mission essential functions and other duties may be assigned as required. Employee must be able to travel on the rare occasion the need arises.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Use hands to grasp, handle, and/or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear. Frequently stand, walk, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl, twist, and work on or in the aircraft. Frequently lift and/or push or pull up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or push or pull up to 50 pounds. Occasionally sit, climb, and balance. Constant use of sight abilities while reviewing technical data, drawings, and documents. Constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, and constant mental alertness.

Pay: $36.41 - $38.46 per hour
