In this role, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a robust quality system, ensuring compliance with both internal and external quality requirements. You will work closely with operational leadership to manage quality outputs and results, and identify areas for continuous improvement.

About the Role:

  1. Define and establish a quality management system aligned with Avire's corporate policies.
  2. Work directly with operational leadership to manage quality outputs/results in alignment with business objectives.
  3. Cross-functionally collaborate to ensure effective quality processes are employed and tracked throughout the organization.
  4. Be the point of contact and leader for external audits, including 3P certifications (e.g., CSA, UL, Intertek), and resolve associated findings.
  5. Build a culture of continuous improvement, focusing on problem identification and investigation, with effective mitigation of root cause issues.
  6. Establish and maintain robust Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) processes and procedures.
  7. Other responsibilities as assigned.

Performance Objectives:

  1. Establish and maintain a Quality Management System, including periodic assessments and benchmarking.
  2. Key performance indicators (KPIs) of the Quality Management System effectiveness will be established, maintained, and utilized for continuous improvement.
  3. Structured problem-solving methodologies will be incorporated into the company culture.

Requirements:

  • Proven ability to facilitate and solve problems in a team environment.
  • Experience managing regulatory requirements and certifications (e.g., UL, CSA).
  • Experience with KPI metric management and deployment.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • Background in electronics manufacturing is an asset.
  • Fluency in English is required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, engineering management, electronics, or other applicable area of study.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Lean Sigma Green Belt or higher certification is preferred.
  • Experience with EH&S processes and procedures is essential.
