Job Description & Details:
Avirom & Associates, Inc., a surveying firm which has been established since 1981, is seeking a survey technician with a minimum of 3 years CAD surveying experience for full time employment. The salary is commensurate with the level of experience.
Scope of Position:
Produce CADD drawings from fieldwork generated by our field crews based on either one or a combination of the following data: Total Station, GPS, Terrestrial LiDAR, Bathymetric Soundings, Orthometric Point Clouds generated by our Unmanned Aerial System.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Under minimal supervision, compile/reduce the above data and transform all applicable information into electronically generated drawings using Carlson Survey with accuracy, legibility and speed.
· Ability to prepare sketch & descriptions of land parcels and easements.
· Experience to include a thorough knowledge of topographic surveys, boundary surveys, bathymetric surveys, construction stakeout procedures and practices, along with the ability to generate 3D surfaces.
· Candidate must also have the ability to produce computations for traverse, record plats, boundary surveys, construction stake-outs, horizontal control, etc.
Position Requirements:
· Proficiency with Carlson Survey is required. Experience utilizing Cyclone and/or Carlson Point Cloud is advantageous.
· Knowledge of general survey principles and commonly used concepts, practices and procedures are necessary.
· Candidate must be well organized and able to meet deadlines.

Pay: $28.00 - $40.00 per hour
