Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive safety policies and procedures in alignment with OSHA, EPA, and EHS standards.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Oversee workers' compensation claims management and ensure adherence to workers' compensation law.
- Provide training development for employees on safety protocols, first aid, CPR, and emergency response procedures.
- Prepare detailed reports on safety incidents, inspections, and compliance audits for management review.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to occupational health and safety.
Experience
- Proven experience in a safety management role or similar position within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, workers' compensation laws, environmental regulations (EPA), and occupational health standards.
- Experience in report writing and documentation related to safety programs and incidents.
- Certification in CPR/First Aid is preferred; additional certifications in EHS or related fields are a plus.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to train and educate employees at all levels on safety practices.
- Strong analytical skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
