Overview

This role will take direction from the Talent Management Lead and will be a key contributor to all learning and development, performance and talent management, DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion), employee engagement, and organizational change management initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong global background and familiarity with HR processes, programs, and platforms.

 

The base salary is aligned with market data and is estimated between $110,000 to $130,000 with the ability to achieve additional compensation through bonus.  This salary range reflects base compensation for the position across all US locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by work location and other factors including relevant education/training, experience, and internal equity.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Talent Management Lead and HR Directors to design and implement talent management strategies.
  • Develop and manage learning and development programs to enhance employee skills and career growth.
  • Work alongside manager to build a global talent and learning team and platform.
  • Administer the Learning Management System by managing populations; creating courses, classes, events, and eLearning; assigning content; reporting learning analytics, etc.
  • Administer the mentor program platform.
  • Promote and administer learning and development offerings to the global population.
  • Assist with scheduling training and certification activities for both the L&D and Compliance teams.
  • Manage the preparation of training and certification materials and coordinate logistical items prior to scheduled sessions.
  • Build out smaller projects toward the bigger picture of the L&D program.
  • Recommend improvements and/or enhancements to the program when necessary.
  • Advise on the design and in the future oversee performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and feedback mechanisms.
  • Build relationships with ERG (Employee Resource Group) leaders and partner with them to foster an inclusive and equitable workplace.
  • Enhance employee engagement through various programs and activities.
  • Support organizational change management efforts to ensure smooth transitions and adoption of new processes.
  • Utilize HR platforms and tools to streamline talent management processes.
  • Analyze data and metrics to measure the effectiveness of talent management initiatives and make data-driven decisions.
  • Provide coaching and support to managers and employees on talent management best practices.
  • Work alongside instructional designers to develop eLearning programs.
  • Assist with various other tasks, such as responding to employee inquiries related to training and certification.
  • Work with vendors that provide learning platforms, libraries of content, and other niche learning offerings.
  • Based on demonstrated performance success, you will have the ability to grow internally within the department.
  • Maintain eagerness to grow within the role and within Avison Young.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in talent management, learning and development, or related HR functions.
  • Experience administering a Learning Management System, HRIS system, or similar platform.
  • 5 years of experience in an administrative or project-based role; experience managing projects highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of HR processes, programs, and platforms.
  • Exposure to education and training methods, practices, and technologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with customer service and working in cross-functional teams.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities efficiently under pressure.
  • Meticulous attention to detail in the creation and iteration of work.
  • Ability to see the big picture among great levels of detail.
  • Keen desire to improve processes and drive efficiency.
  • Experience with data analysis and metrics in HR.
  • Certification in talent management or related HR fields is a plus.
