A leading digital streaming network is seeking an Accounting Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the organization’s accounting functions related to Electronic Sell Through (EST) and Video On Demand (VOD) agreements and its financial reporting. This role involves preparing financial statements and business activity reports in compliance with GAAP and other regulatory mandates as well as interacting with WW Collections, Tax, Legal, and FP&A. The ideal candidate has four or more years in a management or leadership role.

Accounting Manager Pay and Benefits:

• Hourly pay: $95/hr
• Worksite: Leading digital streaming network (Los Angeles, CA 90038, Hybrid - Must be on-site Tuesdays and Wednesdays, Remote days are Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays)
• W2 Employment, Group Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Retirement Savings Program, PSL
• 40 hours/week, 6 Month Assignment, Possible extension

Accounting Manager Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the preparation of timely financial statements and corporate submissions/disclosures.
  
• Oversee core accounting operations, including accounts receivable, revenue recognition, deferrals, and general ledger accounting and GL account reconciliations.
  
• Review and post journal entries for all aspects of the business.
  
• Manage the month-end financial reporting process.
  
• Consolidate support schedules for internal and external requests.
  
• Supervise a team of accounting staff, ensuring effective team performance and efficiency.
  
• Fulfill ad-hoc requests as needed.

Accounting Manager Qualifications:

• 10 years of accounting experience.
• 4 years in a management or leadership role.
• Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in Accounting or Finance.
• Experience with financial analysis, US GAAP and IFRS.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• CPA, CMA, or Master’s degree is a plus.
• Experience in the entertainment industry preferred, ideally in transactional accounting is desired.
• Advanced computer skills on MS Office (specifically Excel), SAP and databases is desired.
• Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy is desired.
• Ability to work with large amounts of data – files by title, market, and territory is desired.
• Working knowledge of VAT & Withholding taxes is desired.

Shift:

• 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM Pacific Time office hours, including a 1-hour lunch break.
• Anticipated during monthly/quarterly close time in/out.
