A leading university is seeking a Lab Project Assistant - School of Medicine. The successful candidate will provide clerical support for various research studies in the laboratory of the School of Medicine. The laboratory focuses on well-being, cancer prevention, and Asian American health research. The ideal candidate has one year of laboratory experience. The company offers a great work environment!
Lab Project Assistant - School of Medicine Pay and Benefits :
Hourly pay : $23 / hr
Worksite : Leading University (Stanford, CA 94305 - Palo Alto, CA 94304 - Onsite)
W2 Employment, Retirement Savings Program, PSL
8-16 hours / week, 2 Month Assignment, Possibility of extension
Lab Project Assistant - School of Medicine Responsibilities :
Prepare kits (blood, urine, saliva, hair, and stool collection and processing kits) :
Printing, copying, labeling.
Barcode scanning
Maintain inventory of lab supplies.
Prepare kits for the university's clinics.
Ship the kits to collaborating sites
Prepare airbills and schedule FedEx pick-ups.
Drop off / pick up shipments at local FedEx centers when needed.
Assist with specimen kit pick up from the university's clinic, as needed (~10-minute drive away).
Lab Project Assistant - School of Medicine Qualifications :
1 year of laboratory experience.
1 year of administrative / clerical experience is preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience preparing FedEx shipments.
Specimen kit preparation experience is preferred.
Basic computer skills and demonstrated experience with office software and email applications.
Ability to follow through and complete assigned tasks.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
Bloodborne pathogen training is preferred.
Reliable, and familiar with preparing large mailings or performing administrative duties (ex. printing, copying).
Valid driver's license.
Shift :
8-16 hours weekly schedule during 8 am - 5 pm in Pacific Time office hours.
