Assisted Living Manager:
We are currently seeking a Full Time House Manager to work at our Houston, TX location
POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Community, including staff oversight, scheduling, hiring, marketing, building maintenance, resident services, tours and placement.
Assures compliance with all laws, rules, regulations, and Community policies and procedures. Responsible for ensuring the Community meets financial objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Adheres to and conveys the philosophy of supporting the dignity, privacy, independence,
choice, and individuality of residents.
2. Ensures the Community operates in accordance with all applicable regulations and Community-specific policies and procedures.
3. Conducts resident assessments on applicants, ensuring that all residents are appropriate for occupancy at the Community prior to admit.
4. Coordinates resident tours and move-ins, ensuring all required paperwork is completed in a timely and accurate manner.
5. Develops resident service plans, ensuring revisions are made on an annual basis and as
significant changes occur.
6. Oversees the provision of resident services to ensure the highest quality of care, including the coordination of those services provided to residents by third-party providers such as home health and hospice.
7. Performs and/or oversees the selection, supervision, discipline, and termination (if needed) of staff, including appropriate documentation in personnel files. Ensures a clear definition of lines of responsibility, equitable workloads and adequate supervision.
8. Coordinates staff schedule for Community, to be completed for the entire month 2 weeks prior to that month.
9. Maintains inventory of all items required for resident care and household operations.
10. Performs or coordinates the orientation and training of staff, including regular staff in-services.
11. Performs marketing and public relations activities to ensure a favorable public image of the Community is maintained and occupancy projections are reached.
12. Ensures that facility records are maintained in an accurate manner and in accordance with policies and procedures and regulatory requirements, including resident, staff and administrative records.
13. Provides the Owners with routine reports and other requested information as needed.
14. Coordinates menu of 3 meals per day and snacks for the residents and holds staff
accountable for following menu.
15. Ensures residents’ families, physicians, and others as appropriate are kept informed of
changes in resident conditions and service needs.
16. Ensures resident medications are administered according to State Regulations.
17. Is available on an on-call basis to provide consultation to staff as needed; arranges for
appropriate coverage when unavailable.
18. Performs other duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Demonstrated leadership abilities and effective supervisory skills with the ability to direct
the work of others.
2. Desire to work with the elderly in an environment that upholds their privacy, dignity, choice, independence, and individuality.
3. Ability to recognize and address problems appropriately.
4. Good communication skills and the ability to relate to the public, residents, families, staff,
and other professionals appropriately.
5. Ability to maintain or supervise the maintenance of accurate records and provide
information as requested and/or required.
6. Strong computer skills, proficient in MS Word and Excel, with the ability to learn
customized programs quickly.
7. Knowledge of and ability to ensure the Community conforms to all applicable laws, rules,
and regulations and Community-specific policies and procedures.
8. Ability and willingness to work flexible hours to meet the requirements of the job and to be on-call.
9. Ability to work independently with little direct supervision, yet to respond well to direction and guidance.
10. Knowledge of the requirements for providing care and supervision appropriate for elderly residents.
11. Good character and a continuing reputation of personal integrity.
12. All general staffing requirements:
- Able to physically/mentally perform tasks, as verified by a health screening that includes
TB clearance
- Criminal record clearance
- Ability to read, write and understand English
- General understanding of the needs of the elderly

Pay: $40,000.00 - $41,875.00 per year
