Overview
The Per Diem Pharmacist appropriately dispenses prescribed drugs, handles incoming physician calls, logs data into the computer, performs Rx workflow processing, and conducts drug utilization reviews.
This is a per diem, clinic-based opportunity located in Abilene, TX partnered with Big Country AIDS Resources (426 Butternut St.)
The pharmacy is open Mon -Thurs: 8am-5pm, and Fri. 8:30am-3pm. The work schedule for the position will vary as needed during those days/times.
Flexible per diem schedule. No evenings or weekends!

About The Role
Properly dispense, order, and maintain proper inventory of drugs and supplies, pursuant to all state and federal laws
Maintain the highest quality of pharmaceutical care and services
Assist with managing pharmacy operations and supervising team members
Collaborate with physicians to discuss potential incompatibility issues with patient prescriptions
Ensure compliance with all state and federal laws and regulations pertaining to the practice of pharmacy
Keep abreast of changing laws, regulations, and new pharmacy-related programs
Uphold a clean, customer-friendly workplace, and always project a positive attitude
Perform in accordance with company policies and standards
Embrace and perform in the spirit of the company's core values and goals
Perform other related duties as assigned
About You
Bachelor's or Doctoral (PharmD) degree in Pharmacy from an accredited university
Pharmacist license in good standing in the State of Texas
1 years of full-time retail or clinic pharmacy experience preferred
340B Experience And/or AAHIVP Certification Preferred
Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
Excellent interpersonal, customer-service, managerial, and communication skills
Able to effectively work with, mentor, and supervise pharmacy staff
