What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) position at Avita Ontario Hospital?
Under the supervision of the Laboratory Director or designee, provides laboratory services to meet the needs of patients performed in accordance with accepted standards and practices. Performs laboratory procedures to provide information for the diagnosing and monitoring of medical treatment.
Requirements:- Laboratory training including either completion of a clinical laboratory training program (Associate Degree) approved or accredited by the ABHES, NAACLS, or other organization approved by HHS (note that this training may be included in the 60 semester hours listed above).
- Current BLS certificate.
- Adheres to regulatory requirements including all State, Federal and accrediting body regulations.
