Position Overview:
We are looking for a reliable and dedicated Dishwasher to join our team. The Dishwasher will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen by washing dishes, utensils, pots, and pans, as well as ensuring the kitchen equipment is sanitized and organized. The role plays an essential part in keeping the kitchen running smoothly and maintaining high hygiene standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Dishwashing: Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, glassware, pots, pans, and other kitchen equipment.
- Cleaning: Ensure that all kitchen areas, including countertops, floors, and dish storage areas, are kept clean and organized. Clean bathrooms, assist in cleaning the ballroom.
- Stocking: Assist in stocking clean dishes and utensils in the appropriate storage areas after washing.
- Waste Management: Dispose of garbage and recyclables according to proper procedures.
- Assist Kitchen Staff: Support the kitchen staff with prep work, organizing kitchen tools, and other tasks as needed.
- Maintain Cleanliness: Ensure that dishwashing equipment (e.g., dishwashers, sinks, etc.) is cleaned and well-maintained.
- Adhere to Safety Standards: Follow all food safety regulations, cleanliness standards, and health codes in the workplace.
- Teamwork: Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure an efficient workflow and to meet customer demands.
- Setup/Breakdown: Assist the property manager setup and breakdown events
Qualifications:
- Previous dishwashing or kitchen cleaning experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and hygiene.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Good physical stamina and the ability to stand, bend, and lift heavy items for extended periods.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and practices.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
