Aviva Senior Living has specialized in creating and sustaining a full service, community for seniors seeking an exceptional living experience. Aviva offers a full continuum of care including Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care, Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation.
Essential Functions include, but are not limited to:
- Performs cleaning procedures in accordance with facility policy.
- Observes waste disposal procedures in accordance with facility policy.
- Assists in proper care of housekeeping equipment.
- Identifies and reports any equipment malfunction to supervisor.
- Reports any observed area in poor repair to supervisor.
- Uses housekeeping supplies efficiently.
- Observes infection control procedures related to Housekeeping Department.
- Reports for work in neat, clean attire and consistently presents an appropriate professional appearance.
- Reports for work as scheduled and consistently demonstrates dependability and punctuality.
- Consistently works cooperatively with residents, residents’ representatives, facility staff, physicians, consultants and ancillary service providers.
- Coordinates daily housekeeping services with nursing director when performing routine cleaning assignments in resident living and/or recreational areas.
- Agrees not to disclose resident’s protected health information and promptly report suspected or known violations of such disclosure to the Administrator.
- Follows Residents’ Rights policies at all times.
- Reports suspected resident abuse immediately to the Administrator.
Qualifications
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the colleague must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours in length, lift up to 50 pounds on a regular and continuing basis, and push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 150 pounds on a regular and continuing basis. Must also be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill cleaning tasks, and to exert well-paced ability in limited space.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills required.
- Able to follow oral and written instructions.
- Must follow material safety data sheets (MSDS)/safety data sheets (SDS), operate housekeeping equipment safely, and follow facility safety program.
- Accept assigned duties in a cooperative manner.
- Attend in-service training programs for housekeeping staff and as assigned.
- Must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance.
All candidates must be willing to submit to a pre-employment drug screening and a level 2 background check.
