Location : San Diego, CAJob Responsibilities : Perform routine biochemistry techniques such as protein expression, purification, and characterization by SDS-PAGEPerform small-scale bacterial, fungal, and mammalian cell culture using aseptic techniquesOperate incubator / shakers, centrifuges, and other laboratory equipment used in protein productionUse electrophoresis and chromatography systems for biomolecule analysis or purificationPrepare chemical solutions required for production processesAnalyze Sanger sequence data for validation of expression constructsEducation Requirements : B.S. or M.S. in life science or related subjectExperience Desired : 1 year industry laboratory experience relating to protein purification is preferredBasic understanding of topics related to immunology, biochemistry, and molecular biologyFamiliarity with Microsoft Office Suite and / or other data analysis softwareSkills and AbilitiesProficiency in English language, both verbal and writtenHighly-organized with proven time management and prioritization skills Adept at managing multiple projects Strong data recording and note taking skills Ability to work collaboratively with various teams to achieve team goals Goal-oriented individual with demonstrated record of achievementWORKING CONDITIONS Some heavy lifting, kneeling, squatting, etc. may be requiredYou must be authorized to work in the United States without restriction or sponsorship.Interested candidates should forward questions and a resume to hr@How will you make an impact?The Research Associate will assist in the development of recombinant proteins and technologies, as well as antibody-based workflow solutions including Western Blot, ELISA, Flow Cytometry, and IF applications.
