What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr. Manager, Global Industry Engagement Programs position at AVIXA?
Responsibilities
- Oversees the strategic direction and growth of all of AVIXA’s volunteer council groups and several committees including the AVIXA membership committee
- Develops framework for new councils and council programs
- Organizes and launches new committees and programs influenced by volunteers.
- Creates and implements internal programs to develop and deliver impact from councils, committees, and advisory groups.
- Expands value of membership and increases industry engagement through programs designed to deliver knowledge, networking and professional development.
- Plans and implements engagement resources, communications and events to build out strong member retention resources
- Strategic leadership of engagement programs at AVIXA conferences
- Manages program policies, budgets, and processes
- Plans and allocates budgets for council and committee specific programs
- Contracts Keynote and program speakers, collaborates with session presenters for content for all events, works with vendor for final preparations
- Oversees volunteers and collaborates with AVIXA staff on several programs / events at AVIXA’s tradeshows, digital platforms, and other association activities
- Acts as a liaison to AVIXA’s event partners and is responsible for maintaining good and strong relationships with AVIXA’s partner organizations
- Leads AVIXA’s awards programs. Manages a volunteer Awards Committee and oversees the annual awards event at AVIXA’s InfoComm tradeshow each June
