Locally, in Plymouth, MI, we commission equipment and tools, develop solutions, and create custom software. Our team provides: project management, test system engineering, service, support, manufacturing, and specification of solutions.
The AVL TSI is currently looking for an Emissions Test Equipment Technician to join our team in Plymouth, MI. The Emissions Test Equipment Technician role is a great opportunity to travel domestically and grow experience in conventional and new technologies with a vareity of customers. This opportunity offers the required pre-training, in the field training, and tools to help ensure success in the position. Candidates are required to have experience in emissions (preferably gas analyzers..) In addition, the Emissions Test Equipment Technician position is a direct customer interfacing role and requires strong communication, organization, & customer service skills. Candidates must also be adaptable and flexible to schedule changes or adjustments as a long lead time cannot always be predicted.
The Emissions Test Equipment Technician is responsible for installation, set-up, configuration, maintenance, and calibration troubleshooting repairs for AVL hardware and software. The Emissions Test Equipment Technician will interface with a variety of customers and internal team members.

Qualifications/Skills
Profile description:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent work experience
- In addition to experience/education noted above, 0-2 years’ experience in related field
- 2 years’ experience with test automation equipment preferred
- Understanding of electrical and mechanical processes
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
