Job Description
AVL Test Systems, Inc. (TSI) is looking to hire an entry level intern to support the project management team. This is a learning position, as well as an active contributor to AVL customer projects.
AVL provides customers with innovative measurement, testing, and data management solutions. As a leader in mobility, we continue to develop and grow our team in North America and globally. This Project Management Intern will work closely with the Project Manager to support a specific customer project to ensure execution of administrative tasks and project support activities. The position will report directly within the project management team in Plymouth, MI. The location of this position will be hybrid, with a portion of time being remote and visits to the AVL office in Plymouth, MI as required. As the internship continues through 2026, the hybrid schedule will support remote work in addition to onsite customer visits in Auburn Hills, MI.
The Project Management Intern will specifically support the project at hand by providing the below:
The AVL TSI team is looking to fill this opportunity immediately with estimated working hours at around 20 during the school year. During the summer months, support is estimated closer to the 40 hour per week range. In the fall months, hours have potential to reduce and can be flexible with candidate class schedules. This position is paid hourly with the eligibility to enroll in AVL's 401k.
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in United States on a full-time basis. Employer will not sponsor an applicant for a work visa for this position.

- Assist in planning, executing and closing project tasks.
- Help prepare and maintain project documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project alignment and success.
- Onsite/remote support of AVL personnel with inventory management.
- All additional tasks/support as required.

Qualifications/Skills
Profile description:
- Currently in college working towards a Bachelor degree relevant to Engineering, Business, Project Management or related
- High School diploma
- Desire to learn
- Morning availability preferred
- Willingness to start at the entry/beginning phases to learn processes and functions of the department they are assigned to
- Excellent organizational and record keeping skills
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Good interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Experience with MS office (specifically Excel, Outlook & Microsoft Project)
