The American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), the national not-for-profit association established in 1863 & representing over 108,000 veterinarians working in private & corporate practice, government, industry, academia, & uniformed services, is seeking a Program Administrator for our Council on Education (COE) accreditation management platform in our Education & Research Division located in Schaumburg, IL. Structured to work for its members, AVMA acts as a collective voice for its membership & for the profession. Our mission is to lead the profession by advocating for our members & advancing the science & practice of veterinary medicine to improve animal & human health.
Reporting to the Associate Director, this newly created position will provide technical & overall operational support for the COE accreditation management platform that supports the accreditation activities of the AVMA COE for DVM & equivalent educational programs. This position serves as the technical liaison between the platform & the COE team & is responsible for the integrity of the information being maintained & also assists in the day-to-day operations of the COE. They will support the AVMA COE staff & volunteers in its overall mission & in the accreditation process, including developing an understanding of accreditation & COE policies & procedures; overseeing the data management & maintenance of the accreditation information within the platform; & working with the COE staff to develop instruments, reports, self-studies & other accreditation instruments in the platform as needed. Also constructs, deploys, & analyzes survey instruments & survey data for various research & information gathering projects; prepares & delivers necessary reports from surveys conducted.

A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $60,000 - $88,000. Compensation decisions take into account a wide range of factors, including but not limited to relevant experience, skills, certifications, geographic location, business needs, & organizational policies. In addition to those factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity & consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer.

- BS/BA degree required, advanced degree a plus
- Minimum of 5 years of related work experience, not-for-profit experience a plus
- Experience working with customer relationship management systems, excellent customer service skills, responsive attitude
- Experience/understanding of accreditation a plus
- Demonstrated skills with digital technology on various software platforms, experience with Armature or other accreditation software a plus
- Able to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues; gains new technical skills quickly
- Able to collaborate with others at all levels of the organization as well as vendors
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail, time management, & planning abilities
- Strong analytical & problem-solving skills
- Strong oral & written communication skills; ability to communicate technical concepts in simple terms
- Able to work independently & as part of a collaborative team & exercise judgment within defined parameters
