Accounting Assistant

Responsibilities

• Assist in processing payroll using ADP Software to ensure timely and accurate employee compensation.
• Perform account analysis and maintain general ledger accounting by preparing journal entries.
• Manage accounts receivable, ensuring timely invoicing and collection of payments.
• Support month-end closing activities by reconciling accounts and preparing necessary reports.
• Utilize 10 key typing skills for efficient data entry and record maintenance.
• Collaborate with team members to improve financial processes and reporting accuracy.
• Provide support during audits by preparing documentation and answering inquiries related to financial records.

Experience

• Previous experience in an accounting or finance role is required.
• Familiarity with financial services and general ledger accounting principles is a plus.
• Proficiency in accounting software and tools, particularly Kronos and Ceridian, is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform detailed account analysis.
• Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 30 per week

Schedule:

• No weekends
