Job Summary:
avô Transportation & Language Solutions is seeking a Credentialing Specialist to join our team. As a Credentialing Specialist, you will play a vital role in growing our provider network by providing exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries, obtaining all on-boarding documents from potential new providers, and resolving issues with existing providers. This is a full-time position with a competitive starting hourly rate, benefits available after 90 days of employment, a consistent Monday-Friday schedule, and opportunities for growth within our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and review applications and reapplications for credentialing and recredentialing.
- Verify the qualifications and certification statuses of professionals using primary sources.
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate records of all credentials.
- Coordinate with internal departments and external organizations to follow up on pending items and discrepancies in credentialing documents.
- Ensure compliance with both internal policies and external regulations and standards.
- Handle the renewal of licenses and credentials before expiration dates.
- Assist in auditing and quality assurance initiatives to ensure adherence to credentialing standards.
- Respond to inquiries regarding credentialing procedures, status, and decisions.
- Prepare and submit detailed reports on credentialing progress and outcomes.
- Stay updated with changes in credentialing processes and requirements in the healthcare industry.
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of experience in credentialing, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to credentialing.
- Proficient with credentialing databases and MS Office, especially Excel.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing requirements.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
