Avoca Search is pleased to partner with The Guthrie Clinic in their search for a Clinical Laboratory Leadership Position. This role plays a vital part in guiding the overall operations of the system's clinical and anatomical pathology laboratories across six campuses.
The Guthrie Clinic is a leading non-profit integrated health system in north central Pennsylvania and upstate New York, serving patients from a twelve-county service area. The system comprises a research institute, home care/hospice, hospitals, and a multi-specialty group practice of nearly 1000 providers with 1.5 million patient visits each year.
The successful candidate will possess excellent leadership skills, including relationship-building, management, and communication. They must have a deep understanding of laboratory services, including operations, budgeting, customer service, and quality improvement. Additionally, they should be adept at navigating complex organizational structures and possess an understanding of healthcare trends and forces impacting laboratory services.
Candidates should demonstrate extensive knowledge and expertise in industry standards and compliance, have a track record of growing services and volumes, and evidence of commitment to exceptional patient care. A bachelor's degree is required; master's degree and ASCP certification are preferred.
