THE ROLE

Avocado is currently looking for a Facilities Assistant to be part of the Maintenance team. You will be reporting to the VP of Administration.

In this role, you will help maintain a clean and organized office and manufacturing environment. This role is essential for ensuring a tidy workspace and supporting a positive workplace experience that includes hygienic conditions, a positive impression from internal and external stakeholders and supporting the integrity of our spaces and equipment, as well as providing administrative support. This hybrid onsite role is ideal for someone who takes pride in cleanliness, organization, and assisting with day-to-day operations.

• Note on Location: Here at Avocado Green Brands, we treasure teamwork and working together in person. For this role, you will be working on-site at one of our Fullerton locations.
• Note on Pay Transparency: The pay for this role is $18.50 Hourly.
  
  

What You’ll Be Working On

Janitorial & Facility Maintenance

• Maintain office cleanliness, ensuring common areas, hallways, and workspaces are neat and organized.
• Perform light-duty cleaning in restrooms, breakrooms, and shared spaces to uphold cleanliness standards.
• Empty trash bins, wipe down surfaces, and restock supplies as needed.
• Maintain cleaning equipment in good working condition and report any maintenance needs.
• Identify and report safety hazards, damages, or supply shortages to management.
• Follow company health & safety protocols, reporting any incidents or hazards.
  
  

Administrative & Inventory Support

• Assist the VP of Administration with administrative tasks and special projects as needed.
• Manage inventory for kitchen, janitorial, and office supplies, ensuring timely restocking.
• Source and track eco-friendly products in line with company sustainability goals.
  
  

What You Bring

• Ideally experience in Janitorial roles.
• Ability to follow verbal instructions and complete tasks efficiently.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning products and safety practices.
• Follow company safety culture and Cal OSHA regulations.
• Able to identify work hazard situations.
• Ability to effectively communicate internally and externally.
• Regular and predictable attendance.
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Protective gear: Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Noise: Must be comfortable working in an environment with constant machinery noise.
• Mobility: Must be able to move throughout the warehouse to access different products.
• Must be able to frequently move items weighing up to 20 pounds.
