The Avon Promenade is a seasonal seaside restaurant located right on the boardwalk in beautiful Avon-By-The-Sea. We are looking for experienced Food Runners to join our team. The successful candidate will have a positive attitude, friendly demeanor, strong communication skills and the ability to work well with others as part of a team.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Food Runner to join our team. As a Food Runner, you will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient food service and guest satisfaction. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver food orders from the kitchen to the appropriate tables or guests in a timely manner.
Responsibilities:
- Retrieve food orders from the kitchen and deliver them to the correct tables or guests
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of food orders before delivering them
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and servers to ensure smooth food delivery process
- Provide exceptional guest service by promptly addressing any requests or concerns
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, including dining areas and server stations
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure efficient workflow
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a restaurant or banquet setting is preferred
- Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent customer service skills, with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Ability to work well within a team
