Purpose of Position:
Team Wendy Ceradyne (TWC) is an Avon Technologies company dedicated to providing exceptional head protection systems for those who risk their lives every day. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for growing TWC DoD contract and Team Wendy (TW) DoD non-contract business by shaping and informing requirements through direct engagement with DoD Program Offices, End Users, R&D activities, and Legislative Offices. This position will report directly to the TWC President and coordinate with the TW Vice President of Commercial Growth.
Essential duties and/or Functions: (Essential Functions/basic job duties that must be able to be performed with or without reasonable accommodation):
-Develop deep knowledge and understanding of TWC Programs and TW brands, business operations, products and customer-base
-Represent TWC/TW at trade shows, customer visits, and other key strategic events
-Become a subject matter expert on all TWC/TW product lines as well as key competitors and helmet/armor landscape
-Identify sales leads and potential customers while building and maintaining a pipeline of new and existing customers/opportunities
-Contact new and existing customers to discuss needs and how they can be met
-Emphasize the features of TWC/TW products and highlight how they meet customer needs
-Maintain a contact list and follow up with customers
-Track all sales activities and keep up to date CRM
-Coordinate with other team members and departments to optimize sales efforts
-Drive continuous improvement at all levels to include product development advancement through direct customer interface and feedback
Required Minimum Qualifications: (Minimum/Basic level of qualifications needed to perform the essential functions of the position, i.e. education, licensure or any measurable and job-related experience)

-BS/BA level degree in Business, Engineering, or other appropriate degree
- 10 or more years within a related industry, with background in Business Development, Capture Management, Program Management, and/or similar disciplines, with exhibited progression or;
-10 years Active-Duty military service: experience at Higher Headquarters Staff, Pentagon, and/or Legislative Fellowship preferred
-Must be authorized to live and work in the United States
-Must have strong interpersonal skills while building relationships and networking
-Strong decision-making abilities and analytical/problem-solving skills
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience with CRM/ERPs
-Team player with ability to build productive relationships with hourly employees, management, and peers
-Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees, customers or suppliers
-Must be willing to travel up to 50% of the time
-Must hold or be eligible to obtain a SECRET level personal security clearance

- Ability to analyze and advise the company on current acquisition trends and incorporate into the established RFI/RFP process.
- Understanding of DoD Budgeting, Procurement, and Requirements processes and their relative relationships to drive business.

- Superior verbal and written skills; be able to provide status, weekly reports, presentations, review packages, and assist with proposals

The anticipated salary range for candidates who will work in Salem, NH is $130,000 to $160,000 annually. The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, type and years of experience within the industry, education, etc.
