Purpose of Position:
At Team Wendy, The HR Coordinator supports the efficient functioning of the Human Resources department by facilitating key HR processes, maintaining compliance, and serving as a point of contact for employees and management. This role ensures accurate record-keeping, assists in recruitment and onboarding, coordinates employee training programs, and supports benefits administration. Acting as a bridge between employees and leadership, the HR Coordinator contributes to a positive workplace culture while aligning HR practices with organizational goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruitment and Onboarding - Assist in creating and posting job advertisements on various platforms.
- Screen resumes and schedule interviews with hiring managers. Facilitate the onboarding process, including new hire orientation and training. Ensure completion and accuracy of all onboarding documentation.
- Employee Records Management - Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in compliance with company policies and legal requirements. Ensure timely updates of personnel changes, including promotions, terminations, and salary adjustments. Handle the confidentiality and security of sensitive employee information.
- Benefits Administration - Coordinate employee enrollment, changes, and terminations in benefits programs. Act as the primary point of contact for employee benefits-related inquiries. Collaborate with benefits vendors to resolve issues and ensure smooth administration.
- Compliance and Policy Implementation Ensure company policies are clearly communicated and consistently applied. Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations. Support audits and documentation required for compliance purposes.
- Employee Relations Support Serve as a resource for employee questions and concerns, escalating issues as needed. Assist in investigating and documenting employee relations matters. Promote a positive work environment and support employee engagement initiatives.
- Training and Development - Coordinate logistics for training sessions, workshops, and leadership development programs. Track employee training progress and maintain training records. Assist in identifying areas for employee skill development and recommend appropriate solutions.
- HR Systems and Reporting - Update and maintain HR information systems (HRIS) with accurate employee data. Generate reports on HR metrics such as turnover, recruitment, and employee engagement. Support system upgrades and troubleshoot HRIS-related issues.
- Administrative Support Coordinate and schedule meetings, events, and interviews for HR and management teams. Prepare HR-related correspondence, reports, and presentations. Manage HR documentation, including contracts, disciplinary actions, and performance reviews
Minimum Qualifications:
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
- At least 1-2 years of experience in an HR support or coordination role.
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Basic understanding of HR principles, practices, and employment laws (e.g., FMLA, FLSA, ADA).
- Strong working knowledge of ADP Workforce Now
- Proficiency in using HR information systems (HRIS) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and documentation.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Communication and Interpersonal Skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities, including drafting clear and concise correspondence and reports.
- Effective interpersonal skills to work collaboratively across teams and engage with employees at all levels.
- Conflict resolution and problem-solving capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in Human Resources, such as SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or Professional in Human Resources (PHR), is highly desirable.
- Experience in benefits administration, recruiting, or HR compliance is preferred.
- Familiarity with HR technology platforms and tools.

The anticipated salary range for candidates who will work in Cleveland, OH is $59,000 to $72,000 annually. The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, type and years of experience within the industry, education, etc.
