Position Title: Production Trainer

Purpose of Position:
Training at Team Wendy is not managed consistently across the board. This position would be an administrator of the operations training program to include training of T1 operators through VSM. They assist with the on boarding of new employees, the creation of training matrices and plans, tracking of training records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate and conduct onboarding and job specific training for new production employees
- Deliver refresher and cross training for existing employees to support operational flexibility
- Ensure training aligns with standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety requirements, and quality expectations
- Assess employee performance during training and provide timely feedback to trainees and supervisors
- Maintain accurate records of training sessions, attendance, and employee progress
- Collaborate with production leadership, quality, and safety teams to identify training needs and update materials accordingly
- Develop, revise, and maintain training manuals, visual aids, and work instructions as needed
- Serve as a resource to employees for answering questions and reinforcing best practices on the production floor
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to training and employee development
- Support the development of a culture of learning, safety, and accountability across shifts
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; additional technical training or certifications preferred
- 2 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment
- Prior experience delivering on-the-job training or mentoring strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of production processes, safety protocols, and quality standards
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and coaching skills
- Ability to present information clearly and adapt training to various learning styles
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) is a plus
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual (English/Spanish or other) is a plus
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles
- Strong observational skills with the ability to identify performance gaps and improvement opportunities
- Positive, patient, and approachable demeanor
- Able to work independently and collaboratively across departments
Work Environment:
This is a full-time position with standard working hours, although flexibility may be required during peak financial periods or for special projects.
The role may necessitate occasional travel for business meetings, conferences, or training sessions, depending on organizational needs.
