Job Summary
The Procurement Coordinator will provide critical operational support for the Strategic Sourcing Team, ensuring efficient management of procurement processes. This role encompasses the processing of purchase requisitions, booking service entries, overseeing Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) supplies, managing Kanban systems, and offering general sourcing support. The ideal candidate will excel in multitasking, communication, and systems management to ensure seamless procurement operations within a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Purchasing
- Process and validate purchase requisitions, ensuring compliance with procurement policies and budget constraints.
- Accurately create and book service entries for contracted and ad-hoc services, reconciling discrepancies as needed.
- Manage and oversee MRO supply levels, coordinating with suppliers to ensure timely replenishment and availability of critical items.
- Monitor and maintain Kanban systems, collaborating with production teams to adjust inventory levels based on usage and demand.
- Act as a liaison between suppliers and internal stakeholders for day-to-day purchasing needs, including order tracking, delivery updates, and issue resolution.
General Sourcing Support
- Assist the Strategic Sourcing Team with supplier research, data collection, and bid management for smaller or ad-hoc procurement projects.
- Support vendor onboarding by collecting required documentation and ensuring compliance with company standards.
- Provide backup support for sourcing initiatives, including managing smaller procurement categories or conducting cost analyses as directed.
Systems and Reporting
- Maintain accurate records in the ERP system, ensuring all purchase orders, service entries, and supplier details are up-to-date.
- Generate reports on requisition status, MRO spend, and Kanban system performance, identifying trends and improvement opportunities.
- Assist with the preparation of sourcing metrics and dashboards to support decision-making.
Process Improvement
- Identify inefficiencies in procurement workflows and recommend improvements to streamline operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of procurement activities with production schedules and strategic goals.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain roles, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Skills and Competencies
- Proficiency in ERP systems, with strong data entry and reporting skills.
- Familiarity with Kanban systems and inventory management principles.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset to generate and interpret procurement reports.

The anticipated salary range for candidates who will work in Cleveland, OH is $60,000 to $70,000 annually. The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, type and years of experience within the industry, education, etc.
